Martina Slajerova grew up in the Czech Republic. When she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s (an autoimmune disorder of the thyroid), she wanted to find a natural way to stay healthy. So she turned to food, specifically, low-carb, high-fat food.
But she was disappointed when she tried to enlist the help of technology to keep her on track. The apps she found didn’t have everything she needed, so she did what anyone in her situation would do. She got her partner to help her create the KetoDietApp.
It started out as something she wanted to do for herself, but when they decided to make it available to everyone, it became a huge success. So much so that she has been able to quit her job in the financial world to focus solely on the content required for the app (she has hundreds of published recipes and hundreds more waiting). Oh, and her partner, too, has been able to quit his job so he can focus on developing new and even better features into the app.
Martina isn’t content just to create an awesome app, though. She’s also a published cookbook author (with one more on the way).
If you’d like to learn more about Martina, you can find out at her website (http://www.ketodietapp.com) and her blog. You can find more about her books here.
