In the lchf/keto world, Dr. Eric Westman really needs no introduction.
He is the director of the Duke Lifestyle Medicine Clinic and medical director of the Duke Center for Smoking Cessation. Dr. Westman is board certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine, and he has a Master’s degree in clinical research.
He’s coauthored books with Jimmy Moore, founded a fantastic clinic dedicated to helping people from all walks of life and with all sorts of ailments, aided in the foundation of a keto-friendly food company, and he’s just a very nice guy.
He was born and raised in the midwest US, which might explain his genuine humility and work ethic. But he is also very sharp and he understands the nuances needed to help his patients discover the best way to get and stay healthy.
But that’s not enough for him. He’s not embarking on an ambitious effort to get people healthy using the power of remote technology. He has started the Heal Clinics as a way to teach people how to live the Ketogenic lifestyle. And he’s not going to stop working until he’s satisfied that he’s done all he could to get the word out about the benefits of keto.
