If you think you aren’t losing fast enough or you aren’t losing at all, you may need to change some things.
Change isn’t a bad thing, though. Not in this case, anyway.
You may have to give some things up that you may not want to. I promise you that you can live without the things you think you can’t live without,
In my experience with my own weight loss and in working with people the best results come when you keep it simple and keep it real – real food that is.
- No sweets
- No diet sodas, sweetened waters or flavored water drops
- No bars or shakes
- No dairy
- No snacking
- No counting calories
- No eating because of macros
- No berries
If you do keto sweets but aren’t getting the results you want then they gotta go. Save them for maintenance. Maintenance is the “forever stall” and the perfect time to indulge occasionally in keto dessert.
They count as sweet taste so dump them. They could be giving you an insulin response just because they taste sweet when they hit your tongue.
They are too high in carbs and since they come in a package you don’t get to deduct fiber or sugar alcohols because they also contain a bunch of things you can’t pronounce and if you can’t pronounce it then you shouldn’t eat it. (I’m only half joking). Seriously, avoid the packaged stuff – it is frankenfood. Eat real food.
I know. That kind of hurts, but if dairy is part of your keto diet and you are not getting the results you want, cut it out for 30 days and see what happens. If nothing changes, then bring it back in to your life.
Snacking is entertainment and food is not our entertainment so don’t snack. Eat meals and make sure they are well formulated very low carb, moderate protein, high fat meals that will keep you satiated for hours and hours. IF you eat and find yourself “hungry” two or four hours later, you didn’t eat enough fat at your last meal. The other possibility is that it is in your head. It’s habit and you can’t wrap your mind around eating less frequently because your normal mode of operation is eating all day. When keto adapted, you just don’t need to eat that frequently.
Learn to eat when you are truly hungry.
Log your food so you know what they are but do not eat to meet them or because of them
If you aren’t getting the results you want and you eat berries, then stop. Save them for maintenance.
When things aren’t going like you want, you need to change something. If you want results but don’t want to give stuff up then learn to be content with your current state because nothing changes until something changes.
